Zane, an astronomer, discovers intelligent alien life. But the aliens are keeping a deadly secret, and will do anything to stop Zane from learning it.

This movie was so bad that I forgot I watched 75% of it when I woke up this morning. Interestingly, it came out a year before 'Contact' and their opening scenes (set in the lab out in a satellite farm) were eerily similar. I liked the 90's vibe but that was about it. Just hilariously under cooked. Charlie sheen sweat his ass off though, literally, every scene in "Mexico" he was dripping with sweat in a nod to show that he was human.

A molecular biologist and his laboratory partner uncover evidence that may fundamentally change society as we know it.

This film had a few scenes that I thought were nothing short of perfection. However, the overall plot didn't really pull me in, and I think the ending was underdeveloped. I get the intention (after reading a few tldr explain posts lol) but I don't think the "science" part was handled properly. There was this intense build up to a new science that took part way after the climax and there was only about 20 minutes left for resolution. If you attempt to take the movie at face value for its discussion on science v religion, then yeah, it was a great film. But I personally would have liked more exploration on the soul reincarnation concept via the iris. It kind of seemed like they jumped off of the science train in an attempt to show the unexplained as.. unexplained. Whatever, still a good film!

When Earth becomes uninhabitable in the future, a farmer and ex-NASA pilot, Joseph Cooper, is tasked to pilot a spacecraft, along with a team of researchers, to find a new planet for humans.

Contender for my favorite movie of all time. When I think of sci fi gold, this is immediately what my mind goes to. The CGI department made some magic with that black hole scene, and any of the planet warping in general. Directing & script get an A+, love how they handled time dilation

Two co-dependent high school seniors are forced to deal with separation anxiety after their plan to stage a booze-soaked party goes awry.

First watched this movie 10 years ago and it remains one of the funniest comedies. Also a crazy career launcher. Even for fogle
